Recently, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) create an amazing campaign called OK2TALK. The campaign focuses on the millions of adolescents and young adults who suffer alone with mental health concerns. As a counselor, I see this struggle all the time. Often when clients come to my office for the first time, they are vulnerable and worry about what counseling actually is and what it means to be a client.
This week has been packed with preparing for the arrival of new students at Le Moyne College. As one of the counselors at the Wellness Center, I bounced around welcoming new students and their families, preparing for their orientation that is taking place throughout the weekend, and getting the ball rolling on this semester’s AOW workshops.
